Fire Safety in

Hotels & Guest Houses

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire certificates in hotels and guesthouses became obsolete, and owners can no longer rely on the Fire Service. Instead they must carry out a ‘fire risk assessment’ to ensure their staff and guests are adequately protected against fire.

With small numbers of staff, many hotel and guesthouse owners cannot afford for staff to take the time out to be trained in fire safety in the traditional way, or bring in expensive  consultants.

This high-quality comprehensive fire safety training and risk assessment package gives you the solution. The package comprises two discs:

  • an interactive CD-ROM, containing a thought-provoking training film in which a hotel owner asks a fire officer to check his premises to ensure that they comply with the law. There is also authoritative guidance on the law and good practice via ‘click-on’ video tutorials, PowerPoint slide shows and a variety of guidance documents including a pre-assessment checklist, a fire risk assessment form and fire safety logbook;

  • a DVD, which, in response to the staff training needs of hotel & guesthouse owners and managers, contains the film, appropriate tutorials and PowerPoint slides.

Hotel & guesthouse owners and managers will be able to find all the information needed to make their premises safe, but can use the DVD to train their staff without the need for a computer, thus ensuring that even short-term, temporary staff can be trained.

Format: two-disc set: CD ROM and DVD

  • a DVD which contains a thought provoking film giving important information explaining the impact that the law has on owners and managers of PPA and how it can be complied with.

PPA owners and managers will be able to find all the information needed to make their premises safe, but can use the DVD to train their staff without the need for a computer, thus ensuring that even short-term, temporary staff can be trained.
