The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that employers provide adequate training in relation to fire safety procedures for all members of staff regardless of the number of employees.
Online fire awareness training is a cost-effective and time-efficient way of ensuring staff are equipped with a general understanding of fire safety. Marsden Fire Safety offer an online fire awareness training course, approved by the Institution of Fire Engineers.
The course is comprised of five modules:
- The chemistry of fire.
- Common causes of fire.
- Safety features within buildings.
- Fire extinguishers.
- What to do if a fire occurs.
Delegates can work their way through the course, breaking off if necessary and resuming from the beginning of the last uncompleted module. Delegates are tested on their learning at the end of each module and must achieve a pass rate of at least 70%. The course concludes with a final set of test questions these must all be answered correctly, within three attempts, in order to successfully complete the course.
